Here's my process

While every obituary is different, these are examples of my writing style and approach:

Examples of my work

Turnaround time is two *business* days after our consultation, although I always try to deliver quicker. Please note revisions may take additional time. If you need the obituary sooner and my schedule allows, I'll add a $150 rush fee to accommodate your deadline.

01. How quickly can you write the obituary? do you offer a rush fee?

I offer one revision round which typically resolves all requests, however we can do an additional round to ensure you are completely satisfied. I don't have a word-count limit but your newspaper might! I can create two versions ("short" and "long") for a $50 fee.

02. Do you offer revisions? Is there a word-count limit?

Yep, I'll make sure the obituary gets where it needs to go, such as your funeral home and local newspaper. Your funeral home will handle any newspaper fees for publishing the obituary.

03. Do you send the final obituary to my funeral home and newspapers?

Absolutely, I'd be honored! If you want to write it but are looking for support, book a consultation with me. If you'd like me to write your obituary, book the Full Service package. If you have any questions, email me at heather (at) heatherrameau (dot) com

04. Can I work with you to "pre-write" my obituary while I'm still living?

I've had the honor of writing the obituary and delivering the eulogy for people I've loved, and slowly started helping my friends and family do the same. It made sense to extend this service beyond my immediate circle.

06. How did you get into obituary writing and eulogy support?
